Wines from the selection of grapes with the point of phenolic maturity expressing minerality of limestone where the vines live.
The vineyard
Situated on the Cugullonet Nou estate in Sant Climent (Maó) in the south-east of the island. The property lies on calcareous terrain, whose soils are littered with the stones hewn from the underlying rock. Three hectares of vines are grown on espaliers and include the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and white Premsal.
The bodega
Cellers Solano is a family-run bodega that has commercialized its small and carefully controlled production of wines since 2008. They produce between 13,000 bottles a year that are mainly sold on the local market or, to a lesser extent, in Catalonia.
The wines
Produced using only grapes from its Cugullonet Nou estate.
• Sa Forana: Sa Forana reflects the family winery. It’s a red wine aged with a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo, fermented in stainless steel tanks, each variety separately, and aged with French oak barrels. It has aromas of ripe black fruit, the fresh touch of Cabernet, and all with a warm atmosphere. In the mouth it has a serene fruit with a well-melted boot and a sweet tannin.
• 600 metros: It’s the young red wine of the year. It’s a blend made with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, and all varieties ferment separately in stainless steel tanks. It’s a fresh, medium-bodied wine with a deep purple-red colour, fruity aromas and mineral and liquorice touches.
• Sa Forana white: Made with the oldest Chardonnay on the estate, very mineral and salty, slightly refreshed with a small percentage of white Premsal. Fermentation at a controlled temperature with a short step through a new French oak boot that gives it unctuousness and aromatic complexity.
• 600 metros white: It’s a young Mediterranean white wine, made with Chardonnay and white Premsal, a native variety that gives it lightness and minerality. Each variety is fermented separately in stainless steel tanks.

This vineyard lies within the estate of Sant Patrici, very near the town of Ferreries. Its soils, situated at 100 m above sea-level, are watered by a local stream and are calcareous-clayey in nature.
