Binimel·là beach
Binimel·là beach is a coarse-sand beach with different colour tones, virtually unspoilt yet easily accessible by car, located in the heart of the North Menorca Marine Reserve.
You can reach Binimel·là beach by car. It features a regenerating dune system behind the beach and the Salairó stream, which flows into the sea here. You can leave your car in the car park located 400 metres from the beach, which is accessed via a wooden walkway running alongside the stream. Right next to the car park you will find a restaurant, the only building in the area.
The seabed at Binimel·là beach is sandy, except in the central area where you will find a small rocky reef. In the eastern part of the beach, a thick layer of posidonia sea grass often accumulates, creating a softer surface than sand, where younger visitors will find plenty of opportunities to play.
Among the rocks on the eastern side of the beach, looking towards the horizon on your right, you will find small beaches that are ideal for enjoying some peace and quiet, if you are lucky enough to find them empty. These small coves and their seabeds are an ideal place for snorkelling and discovering underwater landscapes rich in marine biodiversity, thanks to the strict fishing restrictions in place within the North Menorca Marine Reserve. As a result, the fish are more trusting and larger in size, allowing for relaxed and rewarding observation.
How to get to Binimel·là beach
Binimel·là beach is located 10 km from Es Mercadal. Leaving the town via the road that leads to the northern coast beaches, you will reach the four-way junction at Binialàs, where you should turn right. After about 500 metres, you will find the turn-off to Binimel·là on the left. After driving 2 km along a wide unpaved track, you will arrive at the beach car park.
From Maó you can also reach Binimel·là beach via the Fornells road, which you should take from the roundabout at the end of the harbour. After approximately 20 km, you will cross the Es Mercadal – Fornells road at a roundabout, where you should continue along the Tramuntana road. After driving 6 km, you will find the turn-off to Binimel·là beach on your right.
There is no public transport to Binimel·là beach.

• Camí de Cavalls: Binimel·là beach marks both the start and end of two stages of the Camí de Cavalls. Heading east, you can reach Cala Tirant, passing by Cavalleria beach. Heading west, you will reach Els Alocs via the longest and most demanding stage of the Camí de Cavalls. However, with just a 2 km walk on an easy path, you can also access Cala Pregonda, one of the most highly regarded beaches in Menorca. This makes Binimel·là beach a fairly busy spot during the summer months.
